This delicious and filling anti-inflammatory smoothie supports the immune system and the gut microbes. It would make a perfect breakfast, especially if you are feeling a bit under the weather.
This recipe is nicely blood sugar balanced and a good source of calcium and magnesium, necessary for healthy bones.
1 banana (not overly ripe)
1 Medjool date
1 tbsp. tahini
1 tbsp. ground flaxseeds
1 tbsp. almond butter
2 tsp. mushroom complex* (@timehealthuk) (*optional)
1 dsp. raw cacao powder
1/2 tsp. vanilla essence
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
200ml plant milk of your choice
2 ice cubes
Blend for 60 seconds or until smooth. Sprinkle with cacao nibs (optional).
